Purpose of the role
The Finance Officer provides essential support to Tunstall's financial operations with primary focus on the accounts receivable function. The main responsibilities include customer account management, invoice processing, collections and other financial administration.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Operations
- Support billing processes by preparing and dispatching invoices accurately and on time
- Follow up on overdue accounts and initiate collection activities
- Process and allocate customer remittances (EFTs, direct debits, BPAYs) to customer accounts
Financial Administration
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation to customer accounts
- Process accounts payable transactions including invoice verification and payment processing
- Maintain accurate customer information and pricing data in Tunstall's ERP system
Customer Service and Relationship Support
- Provide professional customer service while handling payment-related enquiries
- Work with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes
The successful candidate will have
- Some experience with accounts receivable, data entry, or customer service
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Basic analytical skills to identify and resolve routine issues
- Excellent attention to detail
